New York Experience

Eligible Cyclones Take New York students participate in a multiday experience in New York City hosted by Collegiate Licensing Company. The program brings together college students from across the country for opportunities involving fashion, retail, branding, visual storytelling, leadership, and career development.

 

The experience builds on the work students begin at Iowa State. Through the competition, students research a consumer opportunity, create within Iowa State’s trademark standards, develop a product concept, deliver a professional pitch, and collaborate with an officially licensed vendor. In New York, eligible students broaden that experience by learning from professionals, exploring career paths, and connecting with students from other institutions.

 

Specific activities, locations, companies, and participants vary each year. The New York experience is designed around professional learning rather than guaranteed access to a particular show, brand, speaker, or venue.
